It's going to be a cool rainy day today. But that just means it's good for staying in and snuggling up with a good movie (Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesess for the 1500th time I'm sure) with my sweet girl.
She's still sleeping so I went for my morning walk. On the way I stopped at the store and grabbed some peanut butter and chocolate chips to make pancakes when she gets up. I got most of the house work done last night so today is going to be a day of just hanging out with my girl. Watching movies, reading stories, maybe even an art project or two.
I wanted to wish all you wonderful mothers out there a Happy Mother's Day. Hope you get to spend it with the sweet reason that you are mothers. You're beautiful kids. While being the hardest job in the world it's the best and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

A new bike for a sweet little girl
Kim finally figured out how to peddle her Dora trike a few weeks ago but it was hard for her to steer. So after a walk to the store that she road her trike about half way and then I had to carry it back home she ran in the house and told her dad that she wanted a big girl princess bike. So we've been talking about it since. She knew what she wanted. A pink bike with princesses on it and sparkles but without sparkles on the seat. So Friday evening we went to Walmart and got the bike she wanted. She was so excited she had to ride it through the store to the register to pay for it.
She's is still figuring out that there are brakes on her bike and that she shouldn't just put her feet down when she's moving (she's had a couple of crashes). And she's getting the whole steering thing down so she's not just riding in a straight line and off the road.
Hopefully in a short time she'll get good enough at it to be able to ride on the trail while I walk. This is going to be a great summer.
