Well Spring was here

So it's seems that the nice Spring weather was only for JoAnn as today it was quite cold again with rain and snow. Larry actually said "tell Jo she has to come back and can't leave again". Yesterday was just perfect. We had clear skies and temps of 75. I spent some time outside cleaning up the front yard. We have 2 small piles of snow left in the front and for the first time in my life I threw what I could of them in the street to melt. Anything to get rid of this snow faster. It's supposed to be cold and raining clear through to next week.

We better have a nice long hot summer coming after all this cold and snow.

Spring is finally here.......well maybe

JoAnn left this morning to continue her trip on to Las Vegas. The weather is perfect today. In the mid 70's. The snow is almost all gone from our front yard. So I spent some time out there this afternoon cleaning up a bit. I will admit to throwing a bunch of what is left out into the street to get it to melt a little faster. There is still a bunch in the back yard but hopefully by next weekend we should be able to get the rest of the yard cleaned up and maybe even plant some flowers in a few weeks. Although the weather report is saying cold and rain/snow all week. Man I hope they are wrong.

Making Friends on the Internet

Ok so I will be totally honest here. 5 years ago the idea of making a friend on the internet and actually meeting up with them I would have found a bit weird and probably wouldn't have done it. That is until I got pregnant with Kim and met some wonderful women on a message board that was specifically for those that were pregnant and due to have their babies in August of 2004. For some of us these would be our first babies, others their 2nd, 3rd or even 4th. But while sharing our excitements, worries, concerns and fears we have become friends. True friends. It's now been over 4 years and we are still chatting ever day. Still sharing the accomplishment of our little ones who will be 4 this summer. So of us have become very close friends. One of these women I have become particularly close friends with. Her name is JoAnn. We live more then 3000 miles from eachother. She in Canada and my in the US. But we talk every day. She was able to work out part of a trip she was going on this week so she could come here and stay with us for a few days. It was wonderful to have her. To finally get to do something together in person. We just hung out and chatted. I so hope that we can do it again sometime.

Spring may actually be coming......Finally

I think I can finally park in my drive way again. After 3 months of parking in the church parking lot across the street. And there is a couple of patched of my yard showing through. The weather forcast for this weekend is saying it should be in the 60's which will be so wonderful. To finally be able to open the doors and let the fresh air in the house. Plus my wonderful friend (JoAnn) from Canada will be here on Thursday to spend the weekend with us. It will be a wonderful weekend all around.
